Policies and Procedures

Our Policies and Procedures are essential to safeguarding the integrity of the Credentials examinations and ensuring fairness for all candidates.

As a candidate or programme member, it is your responsibility to familiarise yourself with these policies.

Admission and Attendance Policy

The exam will take place in a secure, proctored environment. Your login credentials will be sent to the email address used during registration. If you do not receive them, please check your Spam or Promotions folders, or contact our team at academy@vtex.com. If you do not take the exam within thirty (30) days of registration, you will not be eligible for a refund or rescheduling. For further details, please refer to our Cancellations and Refunds policy.

In the event of an exam disruption (e.g. technical or environmental) where you are still able to continue, you must proceed with the exam. If you choose to leave the exam or exam software without encountering a technical issue, rescheduling or deferral will not be approved.If you experience a technical issue on the day of your exam, please contact us as soon as possible via the chat or by emailing academy@vtex.com. Our team will assist you and ensure you are able to access and complete your exam.

Electronic Devices & External Materials Policy

The use of additional electronic devices is strictly prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to, second screens, smartphones, headsets, calculators, tablets, wearable technology (such as fitness trackers or smartwatches), and photographic devices. If you choose to keep a mobile phone, smartwatch, tablet, or any similar device in the same room during the exam, it must be placed out of reach and clearly shown as such during the room scan conducted before the exam begins.

This restriction also applies to any external materials, including notebooks, loose paper, pens, pencils, desk pads, or any other objects. Your desk must be completely clear, except for the items explicitly permitted during the exam:

  • Personal computer;
  • External webcam;
  • Mouse and keyboard (if applicable);

For calculations, you may use your operating system’s calculator or a blank file in Microsoft Excel® or Google Sheets.

Please note that your screen will be recorded throughout the exam. Any action that violates these rules may result in penalties in accordance with the Misconduct Policy.

Cancellations, Refunds and Reschedule Policy

You may reschedule or cancel your exam free of charge within 24 hours of registration. Refunds can only be processed using the same bank account or payment method used for the original transaction.

We recommend that you reschedule or cancel your exam as soon as you become aware that you will not be able to attend. To request a reschedule or cancellation, please email academy@vtex.com.

Failure to attend the exam will result in forfeiture of the exam fee, and you will not be eligible for a refund or rescheduling. If you experience any issues with registration or payment, please contact us directly.

Identification Policy

All candidates must present a valid document of identification on the day of the exam. This ID document needs to:

  • Be government-issued: your document needs to be issued and recognized by the country where you are a citizen or resident.

  • Be valid: expired documents are not accepted.

  • Include your full name exactly as stated in your registration form, excluding accents or diacritical marks.

  • Include a recent, recognizable photograph.

  • Include your signature.

Misconduct Policy

We discourage, monitor and penalise any type of candidate misconduct during the exam. Candidates who commit misconduct are subject to penalties, including (but not limited): (i) exam cancellations, (ii) subtraction of marks, (iii) revoking previous credentials and/or (iv) permanent ban on taking any future exams.

No refunds are made on the exam fees, nor are any complimentary sittings given for upcoming exams if a candidate has its exam voided due to misconduct.

All our exams are proctored. We use several tested methods to detect any kind of misconduct or plagiarism, such as utilising any type of Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) during the exam, hiring someone to take the exam for them, illegally acquiring exam content, having access to the exam before the exam scheduled date and time, having live assistance during the exam, cheating, searching for information on external channels, any form of external communication, looking away from the screen for an unreasonable length of time, using non-permitted devices during the exam, not performing the room scan before the exam, etc.

We have a zero tolerance policy towards misconduct or plagiarism and we will spare no effort to protect the integrity of our exams, our candidates and our titleholders.

If you are suspicious of any misconduct from candidates, please send an email to academy@vtex.com with your report so we can fully investigate. The information reported will be received, ensuring absolute confidentiality and the appropriate treatment for each situation.

In case of misconduct of candidates working at companies contracting the exams, their name, email and the reason for the misconduct may be shared with the contracting company upon request.

Exam Software Policy

Candidates will be emailed the link to download the Inspera Exam Portal and the log-in details after registration. It is the candidate’s responsibility to check that their computer and environment is compatible, to test software functionalities and to raise any issues with the support team.

To ensure integrity and security, all candidates will take their exam within the Inspera Exam Portal. No exceptions will be made in terms of postponing the exam, or taking the exam in a different software. It is therefore crucial that candidates make sure the software is successfully running on their computers beforehand.

We recommend that candidates avoid using a work supplied computer, and use instead a personal one. This is because sometimes corporate computers have features and restrictions that do not allow the Inspera Exam Portal to run properly. If the candidate tests the software on a work supplied computer and it runs normally, then they should be able to normally use this device.

Breaks

You can take one break of up to 10 minutes during the exam to go to the bathroom. To do this, you will have to state verbally that you are taking a break and remain with the Inspera Exam Portal open on your computer.

Please take into account that your exam time will not be paused.
